School Uniform

Uniform is an important part of school life. We are proud of our uniform and how we present ourselves and Southwold Primary School within the community.

We ask that all parents support us in ensuring that their children wear the correct uniform and are smart and presentable. We ask the children to ensure that they take care of their uniform and to take pride in their appearance and presentation.

School Uniform:-
Red crew neck sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo for Reception to Year 4.
Red V-Neck sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo for Years 5 & 6.
School Tie for Years 5 & 6.
White polo shirt up to Year 4; white shirts for Years 5 and 6.
Charcoal grey skirt, pinafore or trousers (skirts need to be knee length).
Red and white gingham dress with white socks for summer.
Charcoal grey trousers or shorts for boys.
Grey tights or white socks for girls.
Grey socks for boys.
Black school shoes (not trainers) – girls need to have shoes with only a low heel.
Boots may only be worn for journeys to and from school, but not during school day.

PE Kit
Black Shorts, red polo shirt and black plimsoles. Children are also expected to have an outside PE Kit consisting of a tracksuit and old trainers.

The only jewellery to be worn should be small stud earrings and a watch.  Make-up and nail varnish is not part of the school uniform, so should not be worn in school.

Please label all clothing
Please could you make sure that your children’s coat has a loop to hang it up by.

We have only limited storage space in our cloakrooms. Please provide a small PE bag for your child’s kit.

Water Bottles
Please provide a named bottle of water each day for your child.
